today is thursday 30 october 2003.

really wild--we get one day of 80 degree weather, and fires break out. today temperatures drop 40 degrees with freezing rain.

freezing rain is all good for the fires--but add freezing rain to one of the condition where driving ain't hip.

mama chula's new mexican food is a dive indeed. a block away from school--and $3.50 got me a pretty heavy burrito. also pretty hot--had to get two cans of teazer ice tea and a little time walking in the freezing rain to cool off.

so the people at starbucks learned my name--i don't know if like this--but being called my name is much better than being referred to as grande americano or venti coffee.

haven't heard of the big cat on maui for a while. a second expert brought in to take a look. after seeing the claw marks on a guava tree, the second expert believed the same as the first--a big cat is out there.

tickets to the homeland averaging $800. better than last year, but i really don't know if i want to climb into an america west and then a hawaiian airlines jet--but i may not have another choice.
