today is saturday 04 october 2003.
new starbucks opened. another place to hang out and read theology--plus this one is a 10:00 one.
bill o'reilly's book is fairly interesting. i'm not the political junkie or one to read stuff concerning the media--but it's a nice break from the technical reading.
john rutter's music has got to be the most inspirational around. don't bother finding a cd of his and getting it for me for my birthday or Christmas--i probably already have it. his latest "mass for the children" was releasted about a week ago. fabulous!!! mass for the the children is a wonderful piece, and many conjecture that rutter wrote it for his recently deceased son.
hamburger stand is the place of choice to spend $3 for an evening snack. i still say white castles need need to move to colorado. and a pierogie place won't hurt.
the giants were knocked off in the nl divisional playoffs. my heart goes out to barry bonds who will not get a chance to play in the world series this year. and it's just too bad that felipe alou's first attempt at the post season didn't go well. and too bad for jason schmidt. and j.t. snow's baserunning error will probably haunt him for a while--i feel for him.
if you think i'm serious, then you're on crack or something.
cubbies didn't get a chance to finish off them braves. too bad that sheffield is hurt. (if you think i'm serious about sheffield, then you need to sober up big time.)
matsui of the yankees gave roger clemens another day in the dome.
and the men wearing red sox won. despite b.k. kim giving the birdie to the fenway faithful. you know, it's a shame that the red sox had to stoop so low to get kim--he was a chan ho park wanna-be. i guess he proved to me he's just a plain loser. i like the sox--but they've got to get rid of idiots like kim.
