today is sunday 13 may 2007.
ok. haven't blogged in a month. nothing really going on, and nothing is really exciting that it's taking a line in my blog.
dodgers remain in first. i tell you--first in the division this year. brad penny is all-star. at least until the all-star game. but after that, derek lowe will carry the team.
barry bonds in colorado this weekend. so on news4colorado.com--Q: why does the media talk about bonds so much. A: because we got nothing else to talk about (the rockies stink). at least parking is cheap.
yeah, the rockies stink. and stink bad right now. so tonight they trade disgruntled korean pitcher bk kim for a marlins pitcher that just lost a game with walk-off grand slam. smart move.
commercials that are funny: the cell phone ones are especially funny.
like the t-mobile one about the 5 favorites. the kid names his sister's five friends on his 5 favorites. sister freaks out. dad says to daughter "maybe you should get uglier friends."
or the cingular ones where the signal cuts out. 1) when the lady tells her boss that she should be promoted to manager 2) the one when girl gets flowers from her boyfriend and is on a call with her friend why she got flowers (surely no problems, right?) 3) guy calls this girl after a date and sees if there was chemistry between the two. those are funny.
the frontier airlines commercial are pretty funny too. the baggage handler one is funny. "sultan of the suitcase. brahman of the briefcase." wild.
so the other day i'm upgrading a computer from xp home to xp pro. seemingly innocuous. until ie 7 corrupts the whole activation process--the activation screen doesn't come up. xp pro is needed for some specialized software and reinstalling was not an option. alas--many hours of thinking and research and fifteen minutes behind the computer got me success--and just a little over two weeks to go before the whole activation mess would really create a big mess.
so i was starting to get use the opera browser. i liked the speed dial feature where you get a thumbnail for nine webpages--click and you're there. the other day, i browse firefox extensions and speed dial is already copied! like little caesars pizza--copy what everyone else does.
but hadj did note--little caesars is the pioneer of the $5 pizza. now everyone finds a way to offer $5 pizza.
ok. i admit, i'm turning more green. whole foods is pretty wild. and i started getting those compact florescent bulbs (they have a funky shape and funky color light--but supposedly it's cheaper to operate).
'nuf for now.
