today is saturday 13 august 2005.
haven't blogged in a while . . . and no, it's not like anything's happened . . . got married two weeks ago--and yes, this is so exciting this takes more than a line in my blog!
bachelor party was wild . . . nothing happened. aqua golf closed. starbucks on santa fe closed . . . but fortunately 24 hour starbucks was still open . . .
weddings are wild . . . bobby k. tells me to remember that this event changes things for the rest of your life . . . wild . . . unforgettable to say the least.
melvinists are a discrete bunch . . . none drink the same type of coffee . . . none have the same hobbies . . . one thing we do have in common is the peace and poptarts thing . . . and the pizza . . . and what i found was hi-speed internet with wifi is also melvinistic--must word smith this one.
guys tried to decorate my car after the wedding . . . but me and the charisian presence took the red sentra (which by the way i think she named rudolph) . . . guys did get to decorate rudolph--but not as much as they got shawn green (which by the way i need to change the name of my car because green plays for a******a) people kept beeping at us on the way to the airport . . . but it was easy to find the car when we did get back.
san franciso is a hip place for a honeymoon trip . . . highly suggest it . . . but the the weather is unpredictable. and so are the streets--you end up in an intersection and you could be looking five different directions. don't ask for directions--mostly tourists, and they too are lost. but i don't think all the tourist were from different countries like they let on--i think they're mostly iowans practicing their german or french.
hint in life--make sure your canon elph has charged batteries before you set out on a busy day. and another hint in life--be sure you put your sd card back in your camera.
twin peaks was fun also. hint in life--go when there's no fog.
hint in life--chinese people don't like tourists in their dim sum shops. don't let them scare you though--get your pork bun and rice cake but remember that though don't like you personally, they don't mind your american money.
next time i go to san francisco, i'm going to eat at the stinkin rose . . . a garlic restaurant.
last week i was watching the astros at the giants playing in san fran. fox shows a picture of the golden gate bridge--bright skies, etc. whatever--the bridge was foggy all week long!
did go to sbc park . . . charisian presence and i being in the heart of the enemy stadium was uncomfortable--like that scene on lord of the rings where the two hobits running around in mordor.
more blogging later . . .
