hadji--former melvinistic assistant. given special status with arabic-like nickname. unlike true buds, there is only one hadji.
hassan--term given to someone who tries to overthrow a leader. i think it was in jordan when king hussein was having cancer treatments--the king flew to minneapolis. the heir to the thrown was his first son prince hassan. hassan's wife re-decorated the palace before the king returned (prince hassan wasn't in charge yet--the king was still alive!). nonetheless, king hussein wasn't at all happy and showed hassan and his wife who was still in charge. when the king died, the throne was handed over to the second son and his wife. by the way, this term was used on hadji above. 8-0
hala--hawaiian term of exclamation. ussage: "hala, the dog got out!" synonymous sometimes with doom and uh-oh.
