the dodgers won today. gagne is an animal.

the picture below is the wilds of the rockies. this is the last year . . . i haven't been a camper there. never worked there. just the occasional visit . . . but i'll miss the place.

i was watching a few trouts swimming around before i snapped the photo. i could watch fish swim all day.

in the honolulu advertiser--hawaiians are reportedly some of the nicest drivers in the country. so polite in fact that we slow down traffic to let those in front of us merge into our lanes . . . driving some mainlanders nuts . . .

had a good bratwurst yesterday. no i'm not a bratwurst fan, but the baby grill is doing fine!

d.min. seminar done yesterday. a lot of psychology stuff and self-development. if you really want to know--on the myers-briggs i'm an introverted-sensing-thining-judging (istj) . . . a classic istj, mind you . . . real interesting--and i had a few people wondering what the mess a conservative like me is hanging around there.

yes, "my dodgers" are on a tear. and nope, when the blue men get here to denver next week, i won't be in my usual spot. i have seats this time . . . (yes, not just one. 8-o )

cold in colorado . . . and rainy . . . not your usual july weather.

i love wi-fi. i sit here at panera bread on broadband wi-fi while the charisian presence studies pscyhology and figures out deinstitutionalization . . .

gripe in life . . . people who forward annoying e-mails . . . like the one about viruses . . . or scams . . . or jokes (especially the ones that aren't even funny) . . . recipes . . .

which reminds of the time at bju a virus warning was given out about this particularly bad virus . . . one that would drink all your soda . . . eat your pizza . . . make your dog not like you anymore . . . etc.

which reminds of a time when i got the neimann marcus cookie recipe . . . and found out the recipe actually was pretty good.

so i'm doing web pages again . . . i guess the part i like is working in isolation . . . plus blasting the organ symphonies and various operas while i work . . . plus time in between throwing a ping pong ball across the room.

saw a moose off the road last night . . . could have done much damage.

ok--here's another grip in life . . . telemarketing calls. no secret that i never answer my home line because of such annoying calls. but when they go after my cell phone--and no peter coors will not get my vote for colorado senate because of the stupid recording that found its way to my wireless unit yesterday.

all star game was last night. the national league got toasted . . .

i know hadji reads this blog . . . so blast from the past--remember the mother goose and grim . . . the one where grimmy is circling the doggy toy, then all of a sudden grimmy takes a quick nip at it . . . . "oh, that squeak . . . i love that squeak!"

gripe in life . . . high priority e-mails. i hate it when people send e-mail that is supposedly "high priority" . . . truth in life--they never are. like i'm going to die if i don't get that e-mail . . .

listening to lincoln portrait by copland. i hate the recording with henry fonda narrating . . . must get the one with james earl jones. a sultan. almost like patrick stewart narrating prokofiev's peter and the wolf . . . sultan stuff.

and another sultan piece . . . barber's violin concerto. the first movement indeed for sultans.

a momentous day . . . the all-star game.

e-rabbi.blogspot.com is interesting . . . hadji has interesting thoughts concerning my past . . . some of which i had forgotten. namely the "charlie jobs" and drawing a picture for directions . . .

i'm chewing on a few pieces of dried squid . . . very yummy! (as the charisian presence would remark, though i doubt she would say very yummy if she would ever try the dried squid.)

it's hot in denver . . . time to run where there is bandwith and air conditioning . . .

the dodgers are in first place. never thought this would happen going into the all-star game.

beltre the leader in dodger offense. never thought this would happen going into the all-star game.

and the dodger starting rotation is in shambles. nomo and od perez on the disabled list. lima, alvarez, and jackson filling in nicely though. weaver the de facto ace. never thought this would happen going into the all-star game.

gripe of the week. so fox talks about the astros-dodgers game as the game of the week. so i get all pscyhed for the this . . . only to be greeted with "welcome to the petco park where today we have colorado rockies visiting the san diego padres."

and yes orbit is still fat. never thought his would happen going into the all-star game.

finally got started with the wi-fi . . . in the belmar library, free internet access . . . way cool. way cool.

not way cool is gagne's streak. comes to an end--with two-outs and two-strikes, a ball just rolled past olmedo saenz . . . but the dodgers still win.

talking about the dodgers still winning, only a game back now of the padres. yes the padres are now in first.

fireworks fun in georegetown . . . the echo of fireworks blasting in the mountains is cool.

today is friday 02 july 2004. the second day of melvinism . . .

not much transpired in this the second day of melvinism . . . except the charisian presence adds a whole different dimension to this momentous day!

and just for remembrance . . . this is the second day of melvinism because 1) i left bju on 2 july 1999 and 2) my first dodger game at dodger stadium was on 2 july 2001. hence because of these events, 2 july is the second day of melvinism.

the dodgers have won 3 of 4 series from the giants . . . but the one series they lost--talk about spanked . . . that was last week up in san francisco. dodgers drive down the street on i-5 to face the angels.

brenly of the d-backs got the ax.

so today in the charisian presence i go to tott--taste of the thai asian grill. off garrison and alameda, hip place--makes me wonder why i ever go to panda express (american chinese with non-chinese people working there).

yesterday i went to mee yee lin off alameda and federal. hip place--but i wouldn't suggest you have someone else order for you unless you are of a strong stomach. jelly-fish and pork blood was on the menu. wild.

aside from that, d.min. seminar starts in two weeks . . . and i'm about two books from reading my quota. much i have learned.
